Truong Lab 

Prospective PhD Students. I recruit PhD students primarily through the NYU Tandon BME admissions process. I will also consider students at NYU Vilcek Biomedical Sciences or NYU Biology. I generally do not meet with prospective students before formal admissions interviews. If you are interested in the lab, please apply through the appropriate graduate program and indicate your interest in our research and my lab. Consider how your skills align with our research program(s) and how they relate to your long-term goals. We are especially interested in independent thinkers who want to work from DNA sequence and genome architecture through cell state and function, across computational Design/Prediction and experimental Build/Test. Prior expertise in both is not required, but an aptitude and enthusiasm for integrating them is strongly valued.

**I am open to recruiting a new PhD student for Fall 2027, but have not yet determined whether I will do so.

Undergraduate and Master's students. **The lab is currently full for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Generally, we are open to Master’s students interested in doing a thesis or guided studies with at least a one-year commitment. Undergraduates should apply through the Tandon UGSRP. You should be passionate about Building with Biology and have demonstrated commitment, motivation, and consistency. Postdoctoral Fellows. We are always interested to hear from recent PhD graduates interested in stem cell and immune cell engineering. All relevant backgrounds are of interest as we are an interdisciplinary lab. However, emphasis will be given to those with experience in pluripotent stem cell research, genome engineering, and/or computational design.
